Personal Health Technology Council

The Personal Health Technology Council identifies and recommends solutions for policy challenges affecting the adoption of personal health records (PHRs) and related technologies with a sharp focus on the needs and concerns of consumers. Members of the PHTC - who work in government, industry, healthcare, consumer advocacy organizations, and the professions - envision a networked health care system that will enable increased participation by consumers in their health and their health care. The PHTC believes that any new system of communication and information sharing must earn the trust of consumers and patients through a commitment to security and privacy.
